Difficult Interview – Overall Neutral Experience – Yes, but I declined – Fri, 15 Jan 2016
Interviewed Jan 2016 in Memphis, TN(took 4 days)
The interview process is long and drawn out, so make sure you have afforded yourself enough time once you start to sit down and work through everything. The online application took me about 45 minutes, the phone interview was 20, and then the in-person was four and a half hours. I get that they need to be picky since they are putting new hires in close contact with inventory that cost a lot of money... but there has got to be a better way. At least a little heads up would be nice. Everyone that I met was nice enough. Lots of note taking. Lots of canned questions. The team that I did my mock sale with were really nice, but once we got out to the car they kind of rushed me and cut me off a lot. Not sure what that was about. Even though I was there during the middle of the day of a weekday, there still was a good bit of foot traffic, which was encouraging. I'll admit that I do still feel a certain kind of way about having my fate decided by two people who admittedly have never worked in the sale department of the store.
